Simple Stroller Rental Review

A Must Have When Traveling to Orlando

What is the number one thing you need to have when taking little ones to a theme park? For us, the answer is: a stroller! All of that walking in the heat can really ware on the kids as well as the parents.

We recently traveled to Orlando, Florida for a trip to Universal Studios. Instead of lugging our stroller through the airport, and on and off of a plane, I decided to look into other options. I stumbled across Simple Stroller Rental.

Deciding which stroller you want is made easy with their website. All pricing information is spelled out for you, so there are no hidden fees or surprises. They offer many different options, including: snap and go, single/double jogging, single and double Citi, sit and stands, and even special needs strollers! You can even rent an Ergo carrier for your trip! I especially found the “comparisons” section to be helpful when choosing which stroller would fit our needs the best for this trip.

Once I decided on the stroller, I was able to put in my dates and see a real time inventory tracker that let me know if it was available for those dates. I can’t tell you how relieved I was to know that I wouldn’t have to worry about getting to our hotel and then finding out the stroller wasn’t available!

Even after adding a rain cover and damage waiver, renting from Simple Stroller is a big savings. A rain cover in Orlando is a must; we used ours almost every day that we were in the park, because of those infamous summer storms. The kids were able to stay dry and comfortable  (along with all of their stuff) and the stroller was protected. The damage waiver is important because it works just like insurance, and you never know what could happen during your rental period.

We set up a window of time we wanted our stroller delivered to the hotel (if you are staying in a Disney or Universal hotel, you must be there to meet the driver). He called 15 minutes before arriving so I was able to get to the front of the hotel to meet him. I was really impressed by how clean the stroller was; after all, we are putting kids in it and everyone knows how messy they can get! He walked me through the basics of how to use the stroller: the hand break, reclining the seats, rain cover, and cup holder locations. And then we were on our way!

We enjoyed using this stroller during our trip. The kids rode in it when they got tired, and were even comfortable enough to take naps on our long days!

Returning the stroller was just as simple as receiving it. We were able to pick a window of time and had a 15-minute call-ahead. I made sure to empty out the crumbs (that’s just the mom in me) and wheeled it out front to meet the driver.
