Need to cool off on a hot day in Gainesville? Here's where to go!

Kids want to cool off, but not sure where to go around Gainesville, Georgia? Here is a list of splash pads and pools in the Gainesville area to take kids on these hot summer days.

We advise always checking with the venue when possible before heading out as hours and availability can change due to any number of factors, ranging from weather to staffing issues.




 Splash Pads 




Laurel Park Splash Pad

3100 Old Cleveland Hwy Gainesville GA 30506

What to expect: Splash pad fun for all children with tiny water fountains for the littles and bigger showers for the kiddos that want to run wild. Free for all attendees this year! Adjusted hours have been made last minute with notices given by Hall County Parks & Leisure.

12:00pm-5:00pm Daily

Oakwood City Park Splash Pad

4101 Railroad St Oakwood GA 30566

What to expect: This splash pad is gaining popularity being that it is fun for the kiddos and offers shaded seating for parents nearby. EXACT CHANGE is needed for the token machine required for entry. 

Dates and hours: 

11:00am-6:00pm Tuesday-Saturday 

1:00pm-6:00pm Sunday

Admission price: $3 per child 3yrs+ (FREE for accompanying adults & infants)

Frances Meadows Aquatic Center

1545 Community Way NE Gainesville, GA 30501

What to expect: Indoor pool and workout center along with an outdoor water park open during the hot months. Cost varies for attendees based on county or out of county residency with daily and seasonal rates available. 

Splash Zone Summer hours: 

10:00am-6:00pm Monday-Saturday

11:00am-6:00pm Sunday 

Daily Admission price: 

Hall County residents- $7 child/senior $9 13-54yrs 

Out of County guests- $10 child/senior $13 13-54yrs

GA Mountains YMCA 

2455 YMCA Dr, Gainesville, GA 30501

What to expect: Our local GA Mountains YMCA has a lap pool as well as a family pool with an interactive fountain and slide. Guests and members are welcome to enjoy both throughout most open hours with the lap pool also hosting aqua-aerobics & aqua zumba along with lap lanes available for reserved swim practice. 

Aquatics hours:

6:00am-1:00pm & 3:00-8:00pm Monday-Friday

9:00am-2:00pm Saturday 

Admission price:

Day passes available at $10/person

Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Park Splash Pad

1166 Captain McDonald Rd, Dahlonega, GA 30533

What to expect: Yahoola Creek Park has a great splash pad open early at 8am each day available free to the public during the hot months.

8:00am-8:00pm Daily 

Admission price: FREE 

EE Robinson Park Splash Pad

650 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Sugar Hill, GA 30518

What to expect: Enter the park at the larger entrance to find the interactive splash pad. Free water fun throughout the summer months!

Dates and hours:

10:00am-8:00pm Thursday-Tuesday

12:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday

Splash Pad at Old Atlanta Park

810 Nichols Road, Suwanee Ga 30024

What to expect: Bring your swimwear when visiting the Old Atlanta Recreation Center to enjoy the playground and large splash pad on site. Cash or check only!

10:00am-6:00pm Tuesday-Saturday

Admission price: $1 per child 1yr+ (FREE for accompanying adults & infants)
