Get to Know King of Pops Gainesville

Local King of Pops owner, Emily Jones, tells us her “why” and how to get your own King of Pops

By Chelcee Wright June 11, 2022

In this article we learn what makes King of Pops (KoP) unique, more about our KoP Gainesville owners, where to find local King if Pops carts and how to book King of Pops Gainesville for your event.

Why try KoP?

It’s  an all-natural, handmade, high quality product. You’re not going to find any dyes or other yucky stuff in our pops. We have unique flavors like but also stick to the classics. Our all-fruit pops are dairy free, gluten free, and vegan. We even have dairy free options in our ice-cream pops! When you buy a pop from us, you’re supporting our small business and the local farmers that our fruit comes from!

How did King of Pops Gainesville get its start?

I (Emily) worked a corporate job for 6+ years that involved a lot of traveling. When Michael and I found out we were pregnant with Connor early last year, I knew I needed to make a change so that I could be home with my family more. We got started with King of Pops in June 2021 and officially became franchisees in Jan. 2022. I left my corporate job and started doing King of Pops full time! We are having a blast working/attending events and getting involved with the community. We love that we can do this as a family. It was easy to partner with KOP because it’s  a great company and the product is so high quality.

Favorite flavors:

(this was a tough one to answer!)
Emily’s Favorites - Passion Fruit Raspberry Swirl, Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie, and Blackberry Ginger Lemonade.
Michael’s Favorites - Thai Iced Tea, Coconut Chocolate Sea Salt, Pink Lemonade and Booreo Cheesecake (our Halloween Pop).

Connor’s Favorite- Very Berry

Find the King of Pops Gainesville Carts around town this summer

You’ll find us at the Flowery Branch Farmers Market every Thursday from 3:30-6:30, at First Friday Concerts on the Square in Downtown Gainesville on the first Friday of each month, Beach Bash and Food Truck Fridays at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville. We’ll be at the Braselton 4th of July Festival as well! If there is an event around town, we want to be there, so give us a call! We have three carts, so we can be three places at once!

3 Fun Facts!

  1. KOP supports local farmers whenever we can. Did you know our peaches for our Peach pop come from Pearson Farms in South GA?
  2. We deliver! Contact us and we’ll put together a custom pop pack for you.
  3. Our business name technically says Gainesville but our territory officially covers Flowery Branch, Braselton, Hoschton, Oakwood, and Gainesville!
